The Problems with Inheritance

Look over this reading from COMP 127, which works through not just the Squaretangle example from class but several other illustrations of different problems with inheritance as a language feature. This reading is relative new to COMP 127, probably new since you took the course — and I suspect it’s mostly lost on the students who are taking it now! It plants a good seed in COMP 127, but you are in a much better position now to absorb it deeply.

I realize you’ll mostly be scrambling to finish the Type Modeling homework before Wednesday. Look at this reading before class if you can. If not, then look at it after you’ve finished the homework.
